Breast MRI

High-resolution magnetic resonance imaging of the breast — a powerful, radiation-free tool for high-risk screening and detailed problem solving.

Breast MRI uses a strong magnetic field and contrast to produce highly detailed, cross-sectional images of breast tissue. It is the most sensitive imaging test available for detecting breast cancer and is recommended for women at elevated lifetime risk, for evaluating the extent of a known cancer, and for problem solving when mammography or ultrasound findings are inconclusive.

At the Radiology Center at Harding, breast MRI exams are performed on advanced equipment and interpreted by fellowship-trained radiologists. Results are reported promptly and shared with your referring physician so that any next steps can be planned without delay.
